Andranique Ellis-President
Andranique Ellis has 18 years of experience as a Spanish teacher at John Burroughs School. She also served as the Site Director for Aim High St. Louis for two years and is currently the Development Manager for Rosati-Kain Academy. As an educator and servant leader, she is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities that support quality education and empower young people to reach their full potential through transformative learning experiences.
Susan Wenzel-Vice President/Secretary
Susan Wenzel is a retired Office Manager who enjoys being a grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren. When Susan isn’t spending time with family and friends, she reads or knits for various charities. She loves to work in the garden. Susan is active in her community and her church. She serves as the Co-Leader of the Hospitality Team, Co-leader of the Senior Bible Study, and a Team Leader for the Family Care Ministry. She loves being a tourist in the community, visiting the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, and Missouri Botanical Gardens, and dining out at several ethnic restaurants in the Tower Grove South Neighborhood.
Steve Simpson-Treasurer
Steve B. Simpson served 35 years as a firefighter with the St. Louis Fire Department, achieving the promotion to Captain in December 1994, the fastest in the department’s history. He held several administrative roles, including being the first African-American Medical Officer and Public Information Officer. Promoted to Battalion Chief on October 2, 2007, he oversaw the 5th and 6th Districts before becoming Chief of St. Louis Lambert International Airport in January 2013. Steve retired in October 2023. Since June 11, 2011, he has been the Pastor of Bethel Christian Assembly Church, actively serving for over 35 years in various roles. He holds associate degrees from Professional Business College and Brooke’s Bible College in St. Louis. Steve has been married to Izella L. Simpson for over 35 years and has three adult children and three grandchildren.
